Our Extended Doxie Family

At Sandy’s Long Haired Doxies, nothing means more to us than the relationships we build with our puppy families. Bringing a new dachshund into your home is a special experience, and we are honored to be a part of that journey. We take great pride in raising happy, healthy, well-socialized long-haired miniature dachshunds that become beloved companions for years to come.

We are so grateful for the kind words, photos, and updates shared by families who have welcomed one of our puppies into their hearts and homes. Their stories truly mean the world to us and are the greatest reflection of the love and care we put into every puppy we raise.

From the very beginning when I first contacted  Sandy on puppy availability  I knew I had found the perfect breeder. It is very  obvious and apparent that Sandy and Reggie’s genuine love and emotional attachment for the breed is quite apparent.
What sets Sandy apart from other breeders that I had contacted is that very simply she didn't treat this as a business only. She has done such a wonderful job raising the pups and keeping me informed about his progress on an almost daily basis. Sandy and Reggie allowed
Me into their home with my dog Leo and let Leo socialize with the pups and finally chose Teddy.
I couldn't be happier with Teddy. He’s super social and obviously well socialized, highly intelligent with a very sweet and loving disposition, and really lively and fun. He is  a hit with everyone who meets him, he’s the most loving boy and he’s damn handsome!!
You can tell Sandy’s puppies are bred with love and care and I cannot recommend her enough of you are looking to add a new furry family member.

Since my husband and I purchased our three sibling puppies — two boys, Billy and Jr., and our little girl Piper — our lives have truly changed for the better. Around that time, I had just lost my dad, and only 10 days later we lost our female dachshund to cancer. It was an incredibly difficult period for our family, and we knew we wanted another companion for our 14-year-old male dachshund, Stretch.

As fate would have it, Sandy and Reggie had a litter that was just one week old when I happened to come across Sandy’s phone number tucked away in a book. We had always owned short-haired dachshunds before, but these long-haired puppies were absolutely beautiful.

Each one has their own unique personality and brings so much joy and laughter into our home. They love to play hard, splash around in their little splash pad, and most of all, they love each other, Stretch, and even our cat — who tolerates them pretty well!

Sandy and Reggie truly raise healthy, beautiful puppies with gorgeous coats and great temperaments. We could not be happier with our babies and would absolutely recommend Sandy’s Long Haired Doxies to anyone looking for a happy, healthy new family member.

Working with Sandra Johnson was an amazing experience from start to finish. She kept us informed throughout the process, answered every question patiently, and truly treated us like family. Their cleanliness, attention to health, and genuine love for the breed really stood out, and it’s clear they care deeply about each puppy they raise! Our sweet dachshund is adorable, affectionate, smart, and adjusted quickly to our home. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful dachshund breeder!
